#iAmHer Empowerment Day

The school systems are not set up to support our students with addressing their social emotional needs in the classroom. This is why organizations, like Family Purpose, tailored their programming to service schools throughout the day.  

Doing the right thing by every child means tailoring their approach to address the unique needs of each scholar, and that takes courage.  Our #iAmHer Girl’s Empowerment Day meets each child where they’re without bias or judgement.  

Our workshop offers support around life experiences that they may not have the tools are course to speak up about. If the system does not change the way they’re doing things they are found to get the same results. This means we will continue to lose girls to the streets.  Grades and testing do not tell you the full story but building a relationship can. Scholars can not learn until they are taught how. Scholars won’t care until they know we care. Family Purpose provides complete wrap around services which accompanies the #iAmHer Girl’s Empowerment, offering continued support for all participants. We want to ensure that each young lady who is involved in our program is making informed and appropriate choices when it comes to their personal behavior and social interactions across diverse situations.
